Birmingham, UK – 4 December 2007 – More than 400 staff from Océ have been told that the UK company’s remarkable progress over the last five years is ‘just the beginning’ and that there many more exciting times ahead.
The upbeat message was delivered to sales, marketing and service staff by Bron Curley, on the day (Monday, 3 December) he took over as the new managing director of Océ UK, which is part of the Dutch-based digital printer manufacturer and service provider.
Curley said at Océ UK’s 2008 kick-off meeting: “These are very exciting times for Océ UK, a company that has been at the forefront of the digital printing revolution and has the most complete product and service portfolio in the industry. We have become more robust as a company over the last five years, and we have also developed a sales force that is equal to any in the industry. We have made enormous progress, but this is just the beginning.”
He added: “Colour is rapidly emerging, and with our new and emerging technologies we have a unique opportunity to continue to increase our market share.”
Curley moves up from deputy managing director at Océ UK, having joined from Xerox five years ago.
He replaced Nico Kooy, who retired at the end of November.
