Birmingham – May 9, 2006 – The updated Jeti 3318, which is Gandinnovations newest addition to its grand-format printer line, has its first UK showing on the Océ stand at Sign UK.

 

The super-wide machine that now boasts 600dpi productivity has a head carriage hosting 18 Spectra Print Heads, while ink designation is three heads per colour allowing for six color combinations.

 

The Jeti 3318 print speed is 51sqm per hour in best mode and 68sqm in production mode.

 

Technological enhancements include a software upgrade that can detect if any individual nozzle may be misfiring.  The software will automatically compensate the saturation, safe-guarding the image output.

 

Derek Joys, Océ UK’s Display Graphics Product Manager, said: “We’re delighted to have this super-wide printer on show, particularly as this technology is the first of its kind in the grand-format arena. Also included is an automated head wiping system that reduces manual head wiping.”
