Brentwood, April 20, 2006 –Océ, one of the world’s leading companies in digital printing solutions, is a major sponsor of this year’s Chatsworth International Horse Trials at Chatsworth, Derbyshire, which takes place over the weekend of May 13-14.
The company will provide state-of-the-art copying and faxing facilities, which will allow the event organisers to produce up-to-the minute results sheets for each category, as well for the event’s press and administration offices. Océ also sponsors two cross-country fences – including a water jump – and will provide a fabulous prize for the winner of the big class, the World Cup.
Chatsworth, which is home of the Duke of Devonshire, is one of the country’s most spectacular settings for horse trials. One of the unique features of the event is the sculptures by leading artists that form many of the jumps on the cross-country course. The event always attracts a top-class international field of riders and forms part of the FEI Eventing World Cup series.
Mike Etherington Smith, Event Director, said: “We have been lucky enough to have Océ’s sponsorship at the Chatsworth International Horse Trials for a number of years. The digital technology they provide plays a key role in the smooth running of the event, as it is vital we can turn around professional looking documents very quickly. We are looking forward to another successful event in 2006 and we would like to thanks Océ for its valuable contribution to this.”
Nico Kooy, managing director of Océ (UK) Limited, said: “We are delighted that once again we are supporting the Chatsworth International Horse Trials. The Horse Trials provide a sharply competitive arena for the world’s top riders and horses and this has particular resonance for Océ, which is Europe’s leading contender in the highly competitive digital production copying and printing market.”
