Brentwood, Essex – 25 April 2008 – Océ is once again a major sponsor at the prestigious annual Chatsworth Nissan International Horse Trials this year. The event will be held on the 10th and 11th May at Chatsworth; the Derbyshire home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, which is considered to be the most spectacular horse trials setting in the country.
Océ is a regular supporter of the Chatsworth International Horse Trials. As well as entering into the spirit of the event by sponsoring a jump, known as ‘Ice Pond’, the company will lend the organisers a comprehensive range of copying and faxing systems.
“The event will literally buzz with action over the two days and, as a result, both visitors and press will need to be updated with news and results on a constant basis,” said Bron Curley, managing director of Océ (UK) Limited. “The organisers will therefore need to produce high-quality documents both quickly and reliably. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of digital printing systems, Océ is pleased to provide the facilities for the job in hand.”
The Chatsworth International Horse Trials will play host to a field of top international riders going ‘all out’ in a three-part competition including dressage, cross country and show jumping. It calls upon competitors to demonstrate trust and versatility; as well as obedience, grace, courage and athleticism in an extremely challenging environment.
Mr Curley continued: “Visitors to the Horse Trials will see a demonstration of solidarity and teamwork between the horse and rider. Such values have particular resonance for Océ because, as a company, we aim to go ‘beyond the ordinary’ and believe strong partnerships based on mutual understanding hold the key to achieving business success. We are therefore delighted to take part, once again, in such an exciting event and help deliver what promises to be an inspirational weekend for all.”
Sue Etherington Smith, event director for The Chatsworth International Horse Trials, says: “To ensure the smooth running of the event, it is essential we have the full support from our sponsors. Such input is invaluable in allowing us deliver a professional and stress-free occasion and we are once again grateful to Océ for supplying its technology to help us set up and manage an on-site office for the duration of the weekend.”
