Birmingham – May 1, 2007 – The newest member of Océ’s CS9000 series of high quality display graphics printers, the Océ CS9060, is making its UK debut at Sign UK from May 1-3.
 
The Océ CS9060 is targeted at customers that intend to start offering high quality indoor and outdoor printing, or companies that are already active in this market and want to expand their production capacity. The Océ CS9060 is also targeted at corporate customers for the in-house production of exhibition graphics, posters, signage, billboards etc.

The Océ CS9060 combines affordability with ease-of-use.  It is ideal for short run print jobs and is designed for light production environments where high quality output and outdoor durability are required. Sample applications include point-of-purchase displays, vehicle graphics, transit  advertising, exhibit graphics, banners, museum graphics, wayfinding and window displays.

 

The Océ CS9060 offers superior print quality and ink economy through the use of Océ CS9000
VariaDotTM imaging technology and WAVE Stitching print modes.  Océ CS9000 VariaDot imaging technology produces dots with variable drop sizes to deliver finer details, smoother gradients and sharper images. The use of Océ CS9000 VariaDot imaging technology results in significantly lower ink usage of the Océ CS9060 when compared to the ink usage of six colour printers using fixed dot inkjet technology; 25 to 35 percent less ink is used.

 

The printer also features WAVE Stitching, which prints in ‘waves’ instead of straight bands, resulting in higher print quality, improved productivity and increased media versatility. WAVE Stitching enables the Océ CS9060 to produce prints with consistent quality in production print modes, even when more demanding media are used. The level of banding in production print modes is greatly reduced, and brings it to less than that of many solvent printers in High Quality mode.

 

Eco-solvent inks offers customers the outdoor benefits of solvent inks, while making it possible to use the printers in a regular office or small print shop environment without the need for an air purification system, avoiding additional costs. Coated and uncoated media can be used for indoor and short- to mid-term outdoor applications. The eco-solvent inks used in the Océ CS9060 offer an outdoor durability of up to three years, without lamination.

 

An updated version of the Océ CS9065 with Océ VariaDot™ imaging technology and now with the integrated WAVE Stitching mode, will also be on display in the UK for the first time at the show.

 

The Océ CS9065 is a high quality, production speed printer that can use either low-solvent or eco-solvent inks to create outdoor-durable prints.  The dual-ink capability gives users flexibility in where the unit can be operated:  in light industrial, print shop or office environments. 

 

The Océ CS9065 (165 cm wide) is a high speed, high quality printing system that delivers outdoor durable output. The Océ CS9065 offers true 720 x 720 dpi resolution at print speeds up to 13 m2 per hour in production (four-pass) mode. In high speed (two-pass) mode print speeds up to 22 m2 per hour can be achieved with a resolution of 360 x 720 dpi. Top print speeds of up to 42 m2 per hour can be achieved at 360 x 360 dpi resolution.
