Birmingham – April 22, 2008 – Three new members of Océ’s CS9000 series of high quality display graphics printers were shown for the first time at Sign & Digital UK in Birmingham from 22-24 April, 2008. The CS9160, CS9265 and CS9050 have all made their debut at the Birmingham event and have each been specifically designed to suit customers’ varying needs.
Building on the success of its predecessor, the 64-inch wide Océ CS9160 printer provides reliability, superior print quality and increased productivity. The ability to use 440ml cartridges increases ink capacity and productivity by halving ink change-outs and can increase print speed by 15%. The environmentally safe and easy-to-use Océ CS9160 also offers the ability to produce both indoor and outdoor durable prints. Therefore it is ideal for those just starting in the digital printing industry, and for print providers using aqueous technology that want to start offering high quality outdoor prints.
The Océ CS9265 printer is ideal for companies that want to expand their production capacity for both indoor and outdoor jobs. It offers superior productivity at print speeds of up to 40 m² per hour in production print mode, with top print speeds of up to 80 m² per hour. The Océ CS9265 also uses VariaDot imaging technology with variable ink droplet sizes to deliver superior productivity, high print quality, and excellent ink economy.
The Océ CS9050 is ideal for commercial shops that want to start offering outdoor printing, and for corporate customers, who want to bring graphics production in-house. The Océ CS9050 again uses VariaDot imaging technology, WAVE Stitching print modes and is designed for light production environments where high quality output and outdoor durability are required.
Derek Joys, Programme Manager, Display Graphics Systems, Océ UK, said: “These customers need an affordable, high quality, environmentally safe and easy-to-use system that offers indoor and outdoor versatility. All these printers in the CS9000 series suit these needs and each is specifically suited to each customer’s needs.”
