The requirements for the Océ 2600 and 3100 are:
| • |
3 phase + Neutral and Earth is desirable, but the machine can be connected to a suitable single phase supply. |
| • |
The supply should be terminated in a BS EN 60309 (formerly BS4343) socket with interlocked isolator switch. The machine can be supplied with a 3 metre flexible cable complete with a matching plug. |
| • |
HRC fuses are recommended for overload protection. |
| • |
If a residual current protection device is also fitted, the minimum differential trip current should be not less than 30mA to prevent nuisance tripping. |
| • |
The average power consumption is approximately 3.6kW. The maximum current for 3 phase connection is 16 amps per phase; for a single phase connection it is 30 amps. |
SOCKET
| • |
3 phase: 16 amp 5 pin BS EN 60309 switched outlet (e.g. RS Components stock Nº 490-116) |
| • |
Single Phase: 32 amp 3 pin BS EN 60309 switched outlet (e.g. RS 490-605) |
PERMANENT CONNECTION (non-preferred)
If a socket as above cannot be provided, the machine can be connected to a fixed isolator switch, in which case the customer's qualified electrician must supply the flex and make the connection to the machine:
| • |
3 Phase + Neutral & Earth: 20 amp isolator. We recommend 2.5mm2 5 core flex to the machine. |
| • |
Single Phase: 32 amp isolator. We recommend 4mm2 3 core flex to the machine. | |
