Paper is one of the biggest variables in the reliability of a copier or laser printer. Océ strongly supports the work of the Copier & Printer Manufactures' Advice Group, which has published a series of Advice Sheets:
For reliable jam-free operation, it is important that paper is loaded the correct way up. Most paper has an arrow on the end of the packet. This points to the side which should be the first to receive the image. Different models have different paper paths, and often it is the underside of the paper which receives the first image. The table below shows which way up the paper should be loaded in most of our office copier range:
