On 7 May 2008, some 100 journalists and business analysts gathered at Océ headquarters in Venlo, The Netherlands, for a milestone industry event. On this day, Océ launched a fundamental new technology, Océ CrystalPoint™ technology, combining the best of toner and inkjet printing. The first system based on this technology, the Océ ColorWave 600™ wide format color TonerPearl printer, was also unveiled.
