HASSELL selected Oce in Thailand to benefit from and enhance its technological fit within the HASSELL corporate strategy for printing. Some of the requirements that HASSELL sought that resulted in the selection of Oce included:
¾ The ability to centrally manage all printing systems to provide a uniform quality of output and colour, both internally and within the wider HASSELL studio network;
¾ Provide the managed control for print and copy production cost as well as maintaining the printer hardware and print driver updates;
¾ Ensure print load balancing so that all systems within the organization are at the disposal of all users, reducing the need for unnecessary queuing of print jobs and possible delays and disorder;
¾ Simplification of cost recording so that both small and wide format printing systems provide identical information and successfully allocated costs to each project according to the print device and user;
¾ Strong environmental attributes such as recyclable components, and the control and minimization of dust, noise and ozone emission, all were considered highly important.
By replacing older third-party machines with new small and wide format Oce devices which provide both colour and black & white printing, the Thailand office now meets the HASSELL corporate criteria for integrated printing solutions within their wide-area network.
The centralization and standardization of colour management across the Oce devices for the printing of specialist corporate logos, perspective views and schematics meant confidence in the final output and the elimination of continual colour adjustments and calibrations to suit a specific device.
Print hubs, accessible to all staff throughout the studio, have been established to ensure that large print jobs and batched printing could now be balanced with priority printing, and timed to run at specific hours to suit ongoing operations.
Environmental impact was a major criterion that influenced HASSELL in selecting Oce as a major supplier within the HASSELL corporate strategy. The selected Oce machines have negligible ozone emissions, proved to be far quieter than the third-party machines they replaced and produce no dust. Additionally, it is an Oce international policy that every element of Oce equipment is recyclable.
The significant benefit that HASSELL has now gained is improved document workflow and quality, with client documents now printed to tighter deadlines in multiple ways with the same look and feel. Inter-operability between the HASSELL studios also meant that project files could be now sent from other international studios for printing in Thailand without the need for further adjustment.
Oce has proven to be the right choice for HASSELL. With the increasing HASSELL reputation, design quality, project delivery and studio expansion, Oce has now become an integral partner in the continuing HASSELL success story. |
