NOTE: Océ equipment is based on BSD printing (TCP/IP - LPR/LPD). In the example the Océ equipment is named oceprinter and the remote printer is named print. You can change these names so long as the name starts with a non-numeric character (i.e. 32print is not allowed).
Configure HP-UX:
Log in to HP-UX as root (or an other username that controls the printers, and has all the rights to the directories).
Type sam on the command line and press enter.
Scroll to Printer and Plotters with the vertical scrollbar.
Click twice on "Printers and Plotters".
Double click on "LP Spooler".
Click twice on "Printers and Plotters".
Select Actions on the menu bar and click on Add Remote Printer/Plotter.
For “Printer Name” type any name (i.e. oceprinter), “Remote System Name” use the DNS/Host name (i.e. "oceprinter" ), or alternatively use the dotted-IP (200.200.200.11). ”Remote Printer Name” should be the destination ports Remote System, give this the name "print".
Select Remote Printer is on a BSD System. Press OK and the server will install the printer.
Click on OK.
For a test print type lp –d Printer11 /etc/protocols.
