Bringing more applications to digital perfecting press “The Océ VarioPrint 6250 has sold well in graphic arts environments,” says Ap Stout, Océ International Marketing Director. “Customers tell us that it has the most perfect offset look and feel of any digital printer on the market. At the same time they were requesting that we add more applications so they could take full advantage of the system’s registration accuracy and offset quality to attract more customers and business.
“Coated substrates are standard in offset printing,”continues Stout. “With the Media Enhancement Module, the Océ VarioPrint 6250 can print on substrates of up to 350 g/m2 in all VarioPrint 6250 supported sheet sizes (up to A3++, the equivalent of 14-point media). This further enhances the ability of the Océ VarioPrint 6250 to produce offset-like applications with the flexibility, faster turnaround times and ability for personalization of short-run digital printing.”
Improving on an industry leader The Océ VarioPrint 6250 is based on Océ Gemini Instant Duplex technology, which simultaneously prints on both sides of a sheet. This ensures perfect registration while providing offset-like quality through unique Océ Print Press technology. The Océ VarioPrint 6250 produces up to 15,800 A4 images per hour, making it the most productive digital perfecting press on the market.
The basic system already handles the industry’s widest range of media possibilities. The Océ Media Enhancement Module extends this ability, giving customers the means to efficiently print book covers, instruction cards, time tables, punched/stamped mailers, certificates, and other applications typically produced on clay-finished media. The Océ VarioPrint 6250 can run large stacks of these coated media without loss of productivity.
