The new technology allows printing on both sides of the sheet at the same time – the key to achieving much higher printing speeds and overall performance. This is especially important as over 80% of all cutsheet printing jobs are duplex.
The print image is actually pressed onto both sides of the sheet simultaneously. This greatly streamlines paper transport – eliminating one of the most common causes of errors and paper jams – and delivers a big increase in speed, allowing printing speeds of up to 250 sheets per minute for letter and A4 formats, and 132 pages per minute for ledger and A3.
The new technology offers optimised image transfer: the toner is pressed into both sides of the sheet, fusing the toner without waste or dust. And as each sheet is only fed through and preheated once, there is no risk of paper curling during the process.
Direct duplex plus ease of operation
Océ has also made sure that the new technology is very user-friendly. The new technology built into the VarioPrint 6250 comes with Paper Logic – an innovative system that takes the guesswork out of paper orientation. For jobs involving preprinted paper, e.g. letterheads with company logo or address, you just load the paper into the paper tray in the same way you want to see it printed. And that also applies to special materials such as punched sheets and media with tabs.
The revolutionary graphical user interface fitted into the VarioPrint 6250 makes operation of the machine easy and intuitive. Even the most complex jobs become simple, as each job is displayed with a status colour: as long as all jobs are ‘green on screen’, the operator knows that no action is required.
