Amongst the aspects contained in the CSR, the concern for environment is especially important for companies within the Information Technologies market.
After a success record in recycling materials -the use of recycling paper and the design of systems which improve the use of energy- Océ obtained between 1988 and 2001 the ISO 14001 certification in its main production centers and R&D. In 2003 the Head Office of Océ-España also obtained this certificate. The Spanish company has started and intense program in this direction selecting eco-friendly cars for its fleet, being an active member of the Ecofimática foundation and joining in all activities carried-out by Ecoembes for the management of waste wrapping and packing.
