The IDEA awards—co-sponsored by the Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) and Business Week magazine—are dedicated to fostering business and public understanding of the importance of industrial design excellence to the quality of life and the economy. They aim to showcase the best industrial design from across the US and around the world.
IDSA is a nonprofit association that represents the profession of industrial design to education, business, government and the public. One of the oldest industrial design organisations in the world, its origins date back to the 1920s at the time of the birth of the industrial design modern era. ha
