Patch installation instructions

This will be done in 2 steps :

     1.   Download the 2 patch files mentionned above
                patch_IFV2_shf013_1.exe
                patch_shf013_2.iso
and save the 2 files on your computer
          (Win98/WinMe/Win2000/WinXP/Winserver2003)

     2.   Prepare 1 Floppy disk Not write protected
Caution : For TDS700 not equipped with floppy disk drive,
it is not required to apply the instructions 2.X below, go
      directly to Step 3

2.1 Create a floppy containing the patch :

           - Doubleclick on the saved file patch_IFV2_shf013_1.exe

(It is an executable which will guide you through the
creation process of the patch diskette)
           - Follow the instructions on the screen

2.2  Shutdown the Océ Power Logic Controller

2.3  Insert the previously created patch diskette  in the
Océ Power Logic controller floppy drive.

2.4  Power ON the Océ Power Logic Controller.

2.5  Wait until the patch is applied  : a melody is played
(you will hear 2 times a 3 tonal beeps).

2.6  Remove the patch diskette from the floppy drive

     3.   Create a CD-ROM containing the patch from
              patch_shf013_2.iso
:

Use a CD burner software (like NERO Burner or Roxio Easy
CD Creator) to burn a CD-R from the attached ISO image:
           patch_shf013_2.iso
Advices :To burn a CD-R from this ISO image file, Select an
action which "Burn a CD from an Image file",
but Do not create a CD-R with the file Patch_shf002.iso
                         on it.
           For example :
                         - With NERO 5.5 Burner : use  File/Burn Image
                         - With Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.1 : use  File/Record CD
                            from CD Image

After CD-R has been burned, you should see on the CD-R the
           following file
                          Patch_shf013.oce (1 805 792 bytes)

      4.  Insert the previously created CD-ROM  in the Océ Power Logic
           controller CD drive.

      5.  Restart the Océ Power Logic Controller.

      6.  Wait until the patch is applied  : a melody is played
(you will hear 2 times a 3 tonal beeps)
                - it should take about ~3 minutes on a GX260 PC
                - before the melody is played, a PC reboot will occur
                - For Systems equipped with a monitor, an error message
may pop up on the controller screen Ignore it and let the
                  process go on.

      7.     Remove the CD-ROM from CD drive

Verifying if the patch was applied successfully

   1. Make a « Print settings » (Refer to your Printer User manual for
       more details)

   2. Go to the last printout page in the section:
SDS - CONTROL PARAMETERS 22-1, the last line is called:
       Patches installed = ………………………… <value>
Check that « <value> » is greater or equal to 8000000000000

Troubleshooting

    • 2 rapid beeps are played when Patch has already been applied
    • 2 long  beeps are played when Patch file is corrupted
    • Nothing happens or 7 rapid beeps or 10 long beeps are played when
Patch cannot be applied (Wrong Océ TDSX00/TCSX00
       version)
    • if something goes wrong with one of the floppy disk creation,
please check your floppy disks, and restart the complete
      procedure
