The temporary workaround for MS04-011 (Security update for Microsoft Windows) and for MS04-012 (Cumulative update for Microsoft RPC/DCOM) is available only for Océ systems equipped with a monitor and with a Security Graphical User interface activated on the Océ Power Logic Controller desktop. For more information, please contact your Océ local organization.
To temporarily protect your system:
- Set the security level to "high" by clicking the red key icon
- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

This workaround should be considered as a temporary solution as it just helps blocking paths of attacks rather than correcting the underlying vulnerability. As soon as an Océ patch is available, it must be installed. When an upgrade is necessary, it must be done as soon as possible. |
