With the LCDS module in your configuration, you can process print data in DJDE and Metacode formats, and line data that is coded as ASCII, EBCDIC, BCD or file data. You can load your data via /370 channel, your LAN, or 9- track tape cartridge (3490E-compatible). If you choose to work offline, you can process numerous makes of tape formats from IBM, BS2000, UNIVAC, ICL or Burroughs. When it comes to resources, the LCDS module is also highly flexible: it features an interface for you to import your existing fonts (*.FNT), forms (*.FRM), logos (*.LGO) and images (*.IMG).
Existing print jobs definitions (JSL) are converted to the internal LCDS format. You can use the integrated editor to make changes and create new print job definitions. The LCDS module connects to the IBM operating systems MVS, VM and VSE in online operation. Via a /370 host channel, the module can emulate either the IBM 3211 or 6262 printer. The LCDS module is part of Océ PRISMA®production.
