Ease of use Océ's Green Button Approach is famous for its ease of use. If you can make a copy on an Océ 3145E, 3155E or 3165E, then you can make a scan using Océ Scan Logic. Simply select 'Scanning' on the user interface, place your originals in the document feeder and press the green button! You can easily reduce or enlarge the original size, scan simplex and duplex originals, or build a job of up to 500 originals by combining scanning from the document feeder and the glass platen. The resulting TIFF files will be automatically transferred to any selected location on your network, without any further user intervention. The pre-defined and user-defined Scan Profiles facilitate easy recognition of your scanned files, and enable further processing in an efficient manner.
Reliability The Océ 31x5E series document feeder can handle both simplex and duplex originals, while offering the robustness and reliability that you expect from Océ equipment. It can handle up to 500 originals thanks to continuous feeding or its Job Building functionality.
Modularity You can turn any Océ 31x5E series machine into an Océ Scan Logic-enabled networked device, even retroactively. Océ Scan Logic generates industry standard, multi-page TIFF files, compressed in either G3 or G4 mode. These TIFF files comply with most software applications, enabling you to apply Océ Scan Logic in any environment for virtually any job.
Scan to the archive Scan analogue documents directly to your digital archive. The scanner's standard TIFF format lets you store files for later recall in any archiving system. You can easily retrieve documents from unstructured archives using search words (Full Text Retrieval). Or scan documents into other databases as part of a structured archive or Document Management System, from which you can retrieve information using a reference number or other set parameters. You can even store scanned documents on other media, such as CD-ROMs, ZIP disks, or web-accessible databases.
Scan to print on demand Scan documents in for later reprinting. For instance, you can scan information in and print it in manuals, reports and other published materials—where and when needed. Combine hard-copy materials with digital documents, using PDF applications such as Adobe® Acrobat®. Add inserts and tables, rearrange information as you want for a full range of Print-on-Demand applications or create your own brochures. |
