More control of your printing
The digital mailbox and client software for the Océ 3145E, 3155E and 3165E Network Copiers help end users gain more control over their printing. And allow key operators to manage the print flow, increasing efficiency and reducing unnecessary paper use. They also facilitate security printing. So confidential documents remain confidential.
More control for end users
The Océ 3145E, 3155E and 3165E client software is installed on individual users' PCs, just like a normal print driver. But compared to traditional print drivers, it offers greatly enhanced access to Océ 3145E, 3155E and 3165E functionality, including security and mailbox printing. And it gives end users printing options normally only found in copying. Such as setting the number of copies, printing from any one of four paper trays or the bypass tray, printing to the upper output tray (with A3, A5 and heavy materials), duplexing, two-up printing, stapling, adding covers, margin shift, security-code printing, mailbox printing, binding (long or short edge), and finishing. All accessed simply by clicking the corresponding button on the intuitive software interface.
More control from the mailbox
The client software allows users to print directly to the network copier or to the digital mailbox. With direct printing, jobs leave the network copier on a first-in, first-out basis. Jobs to the digital mailbox are only printed out when confirmed at the machine itself. This is handy for:
- Document security via security code for walk-up printing
- Machine security for the Océ 3145E, 3155E and 3165E—all mailbox jobs accessed via PIN
- Trial prints
- Printing without the need for banner pages
- Documents the need for and priority of which must be verified before printing
- Last-minute job adjustments—all print settings changeable in the digital mailbox
- Printing from the bypass or to paper not usually on-line
- Use of advanced features such as duplexing and large total sheet capacity
- Limited print-on-demand
Since the Océ 3145E, 3155E and 3165E always give priority to the user at the machine, the digital mailbox is perfect for an urgent job. The user simply goes to the digital mailbox after sending the job and presses "print" to jump to the head of the print queue. The user can also get priority for a job which he/she reroutes to the mailbox and then simply goes to the machine and moves from direct print queue to mailbox.
A user can also temporarily stop direct printing, for instance to do large copy jobs or key operator jobs. And he or she can clear the digital mailbox after a pre-selected time.
More control for key operators
Key operators can route all print jobs through the Océ 3145E, 3155E or 3165E digital mailbox. In this way, the operator can structure the print queue for optimal printing efficiency, changing job priorities, confirming job settings and even deleting jobs.
