Océ's TDS series was selected by CADalyst magazine as one of nine outstanding Best of Show CAD offerings represented at A/E/C Systems 2001, a top trade show for the architecture, engineering and construction industries held in Chicago, June 18-21. The Océ TDS series of monochrome LED wide-format printers, scanners and Océ Power Logic® controller were lauded for features that appeal to all levels of users. According to CADALYST, "The Océ TDS800 delivers an impressive 25 percent increase in speed over its predecessor."
- Good Industrial Design award (2001), De Stichting Goed Industrieel Ontwerp, the Netherlands.
Recognised for its new design and colours giving the product a fresh and modern appearance, the Océ TDS800 is the recipient of a 2001 GIO award. The jury also gave specific mention to the timeless design of the printer and the way in which the scanner is designed for ease of use. Entries are judged for their technical functionality, ergonomics, environmental aspects, product safety, and originality in product design.
