Océ Demonstrates Océ CS9060 High Quality Indoor / Outdoor Inkjet Printer
Poing, Germany, 6 March 2007 — Océ today introduced the CS9060 high quality printer that uses eco-solvent inks to create indoor and outdoor-durable prints. Visitors to Océ OpenHouse 2007 will get a preview of this new member of the Océ CS9000 Series printers, which is expected to be launched in the Spring of 2007.
The Océ CS9060 is targeted at customers that intend to start offering high quality indoor and outdoor printing, or companies that are already active in this market and want to expand their production capacity. The Océ CS9060 is also targeted at corporate customers for the in-house production of exhibition graphics, posters, signage, billboards etc.

Affordable Indoor and Outdoor Printing System
The Océ CS9060 combines affordability with ease-of-use. The Océ CS9060 is ideal for short run print jobs and is designed for light production environments where high quality output and outdoor durability are required. Sample applications include point-of-purchase displays, vehicle graphics, transit advertising, exhibit graphics, banners, museum graphics, wayfinding and window displays.
Superior Print Quality through Advanced Print Technologies
The Océ CS9060 offers superior print quality and ink economy through the use of Océ CS9000 VariaDot™ imaging technology and WAVE Stitching print modes.
Océ CS9000 VariaDot™ imaging technology produces dots with variable drop sizes to deliver finer details, smoother gradients and sharper images. The use of Océ CS9000 VariaDot™ imaging technology results in significantly lower ink usage of the Océ CS9060 when compared to the ink usage of six colour printers using fixed dot inkjet technology; 25 to 35 percent less ink is used.
WAVE Stitching prints in 'waves' instead of straight bands, resulting in higher print quality, improved productivity and increased media versatility. WAVE Stitching enables the Océ CS90690 to produce prints with consistent quality in production print modes, even when more demanding media are used. The level of banding in production print modes is greatly reduced, and brings it to less than that of many solvent printers in High Quality mode.
Environmentally Safe Eco-Solvent System
Eco-solvent inks offers customers the outdoor benefits of solvent inks, while making it possible to use the printers in a regular office or small print shop environment without the need for an air purification system, avoiding additional costs. Coated and uncoated media can be used for indoor and short- to mid-term outdoor applications. The eco-solvent inks used in the Océ CS9060 offer an outdoor durability of up to three years, without lamination.
Easy-to-Use
The Océ CS9060 offers outdoor printing with the ease of use of an aqueous indoor printer. The operator maintenance of the printer is limited to only five minutes per week.
Availability
The Océ CS9060 is expected to be available for customer shipment worldwide in the second quarter of 2007.
