Office users need quick and easy access to printing, copying, scanning and faxing functions—and the Océ CS230 delivers the goods. The user interface is easy to understand and convenient to use. All jobs are listed in an easy-to-monitor job queue. And since no special skills are required, office users can easily replace the toner cartridge. High-quality colour output
The Océ CS230 delivers high-quality A4 output at 35 ppm in full colour and 45 ppm in black & white. Two factors are decisive for this professional-quality colour. First, the 600 dpi LED technology ensures colour consistency, even over long print runs, and accurately aligns colour images. Second, the polymerised wax toner creates images with a matt finish that gives documents that offset look and feel.
Wide range of print applications
From paper input to document output the capabilities are impressive. The Océ CS230 prints any paper from A6 to oversized A3 or custom sizes straight from the tray—and any weight from 64-256 g/m². Double-sided printing is a standard feature. The broad choice of finishing options enables ready-made documents to be produced via online stapling, sorting, booklet-making and punching functionality. And the A4 paper capacity of up to 3,400 sheets is sufficient to deal with any office jobs.
Versatile scanning and faxing functionality
The Océ CS230 performs equally well as a scanner and fax. It scans 35 A4 pages per minute and automatically directs files to a hard disk, e-mail and FTP server. The Box Utility software enables scans to be easily managed on a hard disk from a user PC and an LDAP connection automatically looks up e-mail addresses in a company database. Last but not least, the iFax functionality allows businesses to cut their telecom costs by sending faxes through the Internet.
Efficiency in more demanding environments
A powerful embedded PCL 5c/6 PS3 controller comes as standard. For more demanding applications there is an optional Fiery controller, which together with the Fiery Command Work Station gives the graphically proficient user full control over job and colour management. By adding options such as Spot-on colour matching, Auto-Trapping and Hot Folders, the Océ CS230 can be turned into a versatile colour machine for professional-quality colour applications.
Accountability in document production
Job accountability is the key to keeping document-production costs under control. The Océ CS230 allows an administrator to organise, control and keep track of document production. An account for printing, copying and scanning can be set up for each user—separately for colour and black & white if required. The system can produce accounting data or be integrated into external accounting systems. The bottom line is full cost control—with no compromises.
Full colour line-upThe Océ CS230 will be regularly available in Europe from August 2005. Its launch further enhances Océ’s line-up of digital colour printing systems.
