From the development stage we co-operate with internationally recognised test laboratories and institutes. Before Océ products are marketed, they are tested and certified by institutes such as TÜV/VDE in Germany and UL in the USA. Many Océ products carry the USA EPA Energy Star® emblem for energy-efficient design.

Océ anticipates new and more demanding environmental requirements by increasingly stringent selection of raw materials. Constant efforts to extend the lifetime of consumables like photoconductors lead to less use of raw materials and fewer service visits. Our major development and manufacturing sites are certified to ISO14001, the internationally recognized environmental management standard. This constantly drives improvements in business management, design and manufacturing processes, and products and services. Specialised support is available to the Océ operating companies by dedicated teams of experts at our major research and development sites.
