We take all HSE aspects into account in the development of products and manufacturing processes. Océ products are designed in accordance with the latest ergonomic concepts for simple, efficient operation. Right from the design stage, we analyse the total environmental effects and costs during the lifetime of a product. All products are designed to enable re-use of components and recycling of materials. For this purpose we use a special identification system, and have dedicated industrial re-use and recycling facilities.

 

Océ products have a long, productive lifetime, and are of high quality, durability, serviceability and safety. Our own R&D facilities play an important role in ensuring the safety and minimising the environmental burden of our products. Modular architectures allow products to be upgraded to higher performance standards.

Our "upgrade before replacement" principle extends the lifetime of products, avoids waste and saves resources. Environmental management systems and audits in our production facilities are used to control and minimise the impact of all activities on the environment, and to make further improvements wherever possible.
